Juneteenth Celebration Wise County Texas, June 17th was modest but rewarding

RECAP:  The Wise County Democratic Party supported the Juneteenth celebration in Decatur on June 17th.  The day began with Rita and Janet joining a small parade through town driving a decorated Mini Cooper sporting one of our favorite slogans, “Great minds discuss ideas!”  Following the parade, we anchored the block party as the lone “vendor” booth from 1 PM until 7 PM at Louida “Big Mama” Willis Park, where we provided a beanbag toss game for the kids and voter registration services for the adults.  We also provided the event organizers with a generous supply of water and soda to share with participants.

The Wise County Democratic Party (WCDP) will be supporting the Juneteenth Celebration in Decatur, Texas, on June 17, 2017.  We will host a voter registration booth at the block party, along with a bean bag toss competition for attendees.  Please come out and support this celebration.
